       近日,课题组博士生陈红宇论文Air-assisted synthesis of cubic Cu2O with low-index facets for efficient CO2electroreduction to Ethylene被Materials Letters接收!

Cu2O with low-index facets is an excellent candidate for resisting electrode reconfiguration in efficient CO2 electroreduction yielding C2 products. However, its synthesis relies on harsh reactions and environmentally harmful polymer templates or surfactants. Herein, we first propose an Air-assisted wet chemical method to synthesize regular cubic Cu2O particles with low-index (111) facet to avoid the use of polymer hazards. The resultant Air-CuOx exhibits the superior C2H4 selectivity and activity in CO2 electroreduction. The superior catalytic effect owes to the promoted C-C coupling in unique (111) facet and the enhanced reaction kinetics. This research offers a novel perspective for the eco-friendly synthesis of regular Cu2O featuring low-index facets for robust and efficient CO2 electroreduction.
